What I want to do NOW

August 11, 2008

I finally finished my book. It wasn’t what I expected, but it wasn’t bad.

And then I realized I didn’t have a life besides that… so I’m taking a break from books to do something I’ve been wanting to do for a while now: NOTHING.

Sometimes that’s better than anything else! No staying up too late, not waking up too early, no chores to do.

Just nothing.

Easy, breezy, japan-easy!

Damn AT & T. I hate it. I’m just in it because I just bought my new iPhone. I spent all afternoon yesterday trying to text and call and apparently the system was down. And today I found out that to have a decent ringtone I have to pay $2. For EACH ringtone. What an abuse! So I figure out a way – mua ha ha ha… – to hack the iTunes program and be able to sync my PC with my phone. Sorry, maybe I’m getting to technical here… ahem! Anyway, IT WORKED! And it was pretty simple.

I’m very proud of myself :-)

The bad thing is that I’m still on page 150 of my ‘Breaking Dawn’ book.

Dang it.

Shopaholic

August 4, 2008

I know, I know.

You are probably sick of my talking about books 24/7. But I don’t know what’s got into me, I’m addicted! I have to blame that on my boss, she started me reading the Twilight saga and I haven’t been able to put it down.

IT’s A D-D-I-C-T-I-N-G.
It’s pathetic.
I don’t have a social life. And what’s worse, I’m not one bit interested in having one. (For now.)

I haven’t finished the fourth book yet, I kinda had to put it on a side this weekend after I bought it – it came out on Saturday Aug 2 – J was slightly jealous and kept telling me I’m ditching him for a book and that he needed to borrow his wifey for at least a weekend.

::Sigh::

I gave up my book for a few hours at a time during this weekend, plus we had the camping thingy and a birthday. AND another birthday tonight – we had so much sushi! Yum Yum.

I’m going to try to balance between blogging, reading and updating my iphone, which BTW is so cool. I couldn’t resist.

Anywho, there’s another book series I read a while ago, but thought of mentioning it for you guys: The Shopaholic Series by Sophie Kinsella. They’re the funniest books I’ve ever read. And there’s like 5 of them. AND I did feel a little silly and shallow by reading them, after ditching Pride and Prejudice, Wuthering Heights, Little Women and all those literature books I used to read.

Have you heard about them?

FYI

August 2, 2008

The new book ‘Breaking Dawn’ by Stephanie Meyer is coming out as we speak – or as I type. I will be reading all weekend so I will ditch my blog for a couple of days ;-)
Plus, J is taking me out of town. A G A I N.
I’m hoping this book takes me enough until we get back.

Have a great weekend!

Lost in Utah.

July 27, 2008

OMG it was hot there.

J & family decided to go work on their cabin located in… somewhere in the middle of nothing. I do know we didn’t leave the state. We drove for about three hours.

We stopped in a Wal-mart on the way there and I thought I could use a book while I was there, just so I don’t get bored. The next morning – Saturday morning – I started reading my book. That’s when time stopped. Or fast-forwarded. Whatever it was, it felt like a scene of one of those movies where the person stands still in the center of the picture and the sun rises up, and then goes down, and then the moon rises and the person didn’t move at all. Just the background moves and changes.

That was me. All day. Reading my book on the deck.

Thank goodness for Stephanie Meyer and her Twilight, because I made some extra points with the in-laws. They said ‘I was a good sport’ for not complaining all day in an unfinished cabin, with no bathrooms and no shade anywhere near, bugs all over and prrretty damn hot.

If they only knew I didn’t even notice those 12 hours under the hot sun. If I had indeed noticed – oh – they would have heard my whining.

Sooo looking forward to the other 3 books…!

Where have I been?

July 27, 2008

Hi there.

I’m alive.

But I have to confess, I’ve been kidnapped by this book.

Have you read it?
